Trading restrictions imposed by Greece

  • The following is a brief summary of Greek trade restrictions based on information made available from local sources. 
  • Vessels (other than Greek flagged) which have called the ports of Famagusta, Kyrenia and Karavostassi are free to call at Greek ports.
  • Cargo originating from the ports of Famagusta, Kyrenia and Karavostassi are not permitted to be discharged at Greek ports.
  • Nuclear Residues: Vessels carrying such cargoes are prohibited from calling Greek ports unless prior approval has been obtained.
