Overview
Lasse Brautaset is Attorney at Nordisk Skibsrederforening (Nordisk Defence Club). He graduated with a law degree from the University of Oregon in 1985. Mr Brautaset also holds degrees from Princeton University and the University of Oslo. After having worked at the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law and Den norske Creditbank (now DNB), he joined Nordisk in 1989. Mr Brautaset has been involved in a wide variety of maritime law disputes and has a special interest in environmental and safety issues, as well as political restrictions/sanctions. He is also a co-author of the textbook “Scandinavian Maritime Law (The Norwegian Perspective)”, 4th edition 2017.
