Information about future Shipping KPI events and registration will be announced on the BIMCO homepage and local owners and managers will receive invitations directly. The event is free and we are looking forward to seeing you there.
The feature allows benchmarking on granted access ships from another account. This is a powerful tool to benchmark ship performance in different business units within a company or even from different companies. This feature is triggered from the “Access Requests” function in “My Company”:
You can either request access or grant access to one or more ships in this section:
When one account identified by email address has been granted access to one or more specific ships identified by IMO number in your account, the owner of that account can see information of those granted access ships. The important thing is the level of permission or access to those ships. This can be done by selecting the appropriate “Role”. In general, on “CDI” role, the granted access user can only view the information of the ship which does not work for benchmarking. Therefore, you need to be granted access under role as “Default without deleting” which means that the granted user access can also modify and work on those granted access ships.
After successfully granting access for the ships, and to make the ships appear on “Benchmark”, you need to assign these ships into a business unit. The business unit can be the present business unit or a newly created business unit within your company, but it would be better if you create a new one as a separation from your currently managed ship.

Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) publish regular Bunker Alerts based entirely on fuel samples and have kindly permitted BIMCO’s Members to access this information.
The Bunker Alerts are not intended to be an evaluation of overall bunker quality in the port or area concerned, but usually highlight a specific parameter within the fuel which has raised a quality issue.
