Ship conversion projects range from small scale modifications to full scale conversions when, for example, a ship is converted for a whole new purpose. CONVERSIONCON is designed to be scalable for both small and large projects. This is achieved using annexes and industry-familiar clauses that are found in BIMCO’s forms for shipbuilding and ship repairs – NEWBUILDCON and REPAIRCON 2018.

BIMCO’s LNG Bunker Terms published

As the shipping industry evolves by shifting towards the use of alternative fuels that will be more sustainable in the future, BIMCO publishes the first of many more supply terms addressing this issue. The LNG Bunker Terms are now available for use as a simple Annex B to the existing BIMCO Bunker Terms 2018.

Cross industry group sets new standard with revised bunker contract

BIMCO’s Documentary Committee approved a new set of standard bunker terms, developed by a cross-industry group, in New York on 2 May. The BIMCO Bunker Terms 2018 improve on the previous edition with a maximum limit of the parties’ liabilities – a key change that will lead to wider adoption of the contract.
