ESG has gone from a buzzword to either a controversial topic or one that lacks clarity within maritime and beyond; the only thing for certain is that it is here to stay. Yet the remains a lot of uncertainty around what it means for the maritime world and how to best optimise its full potential.

The World ESG Forum is a newly established think tank which aims to simplify ESG, make it practical for the maritime sector and beyond to use it as an opportunity to stand apart and make an impact. In this presentation, the Forum's Chair, Gina Panayiotou, will delve into:

  • The business case for ESG
  • How many aspects of maritime affairs it impacts (From regulatory compliance and reporting, such as CSRD, human rights, seafarer wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, energy transition, decarbonisation and even financing of newbuild projects.)
  • How to assess your scope of influence & engage stakeholders
  • How to avoid greenwashing
  • Formulating business strategy to get it right!

This 30-minute webinar begins at 12:00 UTC (See your time zone here)

15+15 weekly webinars are a 30-minute webinar which includes a 15-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A.
