NESTE renewable jet fuel

Trade name/synonym name

NESTE Renewable Jet Fuel , also known as Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is a jet fuel almost chemical identical to traditional Jet fuel such as Jet A1. But NESTE Renewable Jet Fuel is produced from materials or substances that are not derived from petroleumbased sources

Sustainable aviation fuel can be produced using a wide range of raw materials such as waste animal tallow (fat), used cooking oil, cellulosic waste such as excess wood, forestry residues, vegetable oils such as palm, camelina, jatropha, carinata, corn and even municipal solid waste

The hydrocarbons of NESTE Renewable Jet Fuel will come from a group of so-called Energy-rich fuels listed in MEPC.2/Circular annex 12. Energy-rich fuels are MARPOL Annex I cargoes.  NESTE Renewable Jet Fuel can be blended up to 50% with regular fossil jet fuel depending on processing technology and feedstock used
