Documentary Committee approves new SUPPLYTIME

The spring meeting of the Documentary Committee, chaired by Francis Sarre, was held in Rome on 6 June. The sixty-strong committee discussed an extensive and diverse range of documentary projects and approved for publication three new contracts and one clause.

Final notice on IDEA closure

20 December 2019

IDEA will be shut down at midnight between 31 December 2019 and 1 January 2020 CET. It is impossible to execute a contract using IDEA after that time.

Successful GENCON 2022 seminars held in Asia – more to come in Europe, US

Last week, BIMCO conducted three highly successful seminars on BIMCO’s recent GENCON 2022 voyage charter party for the dry bulk trade. The seminars , which took place Singapore, Seoul and Tokyo, were all very well attended with great engagement from a lively audience interested to know about BIMCO’s flagship contract in the dry bulk trade when it comes to voyage chartering. Almost 100 people attended the seminars in each of the three shipping centres.

Sanctions top busy agenda for BIMCO’s Documentary Committee

BIMCO’s Documentary Committee (DC) will have a busy agenda when they meet on 5 December. The DC will consider for approval new sanctions clauses for time and voyage charter parties. They will also review progress on a new edition of GENCON and be asked to provide feedback on other projects ranging from a sale and leaseback term sheet to an accommodation support vessel charter party.
