Ashok Srinivasan, Manager in Maritime Safety and Security at BIMCO, is speaking as part of panel for Maritime Technologies Forum (MTF) on Safe Maritime Decarbonisation and alternative fuels.
The panel will cover the upcoming MTF report which will provide guidelines to develop and implement a safety management system for alternative fuels onboard ships. This report follows last year’s publication, Operational Management to Accelerate Maritime Decarbonisation, which was launched during Singapore Maritime Week and identified critical gaps in current regulatory conventions and codes. This latest report from MTF offers approaches on how the industry can close some of those identified gaps.
