Sulphur (formed, solid)

Description

Mandatory application of this cargo schedule: shall NOT apply to crushed, lump and coarse-grained sulphur (see SULPHUR UN 1350), or to co-products from sour gas processing or oil refinery operations NOT subjected to the below-described forming process.

Description: Formed, solid sulphur is a co-product regained or recovered from sour (meaning sulphur rich) gas processing or oil refinery operations that has been subjected to a forming process which converts sulphur form in molten state into specific solid shapes (e.g. prills, granules, pellets, pastilles or flakes). The material is bright yellow in appearance and odourless. Formed sulphur shows high bulk densities (900 - 1,350 kg/m3).

Canadian bright yellow formed sulphur, canadian bright yellow elemental sulphur, brimestone, commercially formed elemental sulphur.
