The path to net zero is as much a commercial challenge as a technical one. With the IMO’s Net-Zero Framework delayed and regional regulations proliferating, owners, charterers, and operators are being challenged to make confident decisions amid uncertainty.

In this expert panel, leaders from Pacific Basin Shipping and BIMCO discuss how forward-thinking companies are adapting commercial models, evolving contract structures, and leveraging data to drive both compliance and competitive advantage.

Topics to be covered

  • Commercial learnings from FuelEU’s “polluter-pays” model
  • How leading operators are responding to the IMO Net-Zero Framework postponement
Practical approaches for managing compliance surpluses, pooling rights, and abatement costs
  • How leading operators are aligning systems and data for seamless reporting and decision-making
  • How new BIMCO clauses and contract structures are standardizing the pricing of compliance and risk.
