Ship Manager Advisory Panel
The goal of the BIMCO Ship Manager Advisory Panel is to discuss and review developments impacting ship managers within BIMCO’s membership.
The agenda can include contractual issues, new IMO regulation, bunker issues, among other elements. The panel facilitates dialogue among ship managers within BIMCO’s membership and creates input to BIMCO’s ongoing work. BIMCO will also, when proper, update the participants about ongoing work. BIMCO will channel the insight from the panel meetings into BIMCO’s work, including the BIMCO Committees structure.

As a member of the BIMCO Ship Manager Advisory Panel, you are part of BIMCO’s volunteer community. In a forever changing shipping industry, BIMCO could not have achieved its high level of insight and knowledge without the support of qualified and knowledgeable people with hands-on experience from shipping’s daily operation. The network:
- Meets online twice a year
- Provides a forum for open dialogue and inspiration
- Delivers input to the BIMCO committees
- All ship managers within BIMCO membership can participate
- Invites industry experts to attend meetings when found useful
- Is held under the Chatham House rule
The Chairperson organises the agendas in cooperation with BIMCO and chairs the meetings.
