Agency Network
The goal of the BIMCO Agency Network is to provide a dedicated forum for ship agents and port service professionals across the BIMCO membership to exchange insights, discuss regulatory and operational developments, and support one another in strengthening agency practices globally.
BIMCO Networks connect members who want to engage with peers, share practical knowledge, and expand their professional network.
The agenda will typically cover emerging regulatory requirements affecting ship agency operations, port call efficiency initiatives, digitalisation of port processes, standardisation of agency documentation, environmental compliance at the port interface, and challenges related to coordination between stakeholders such as terminals, authorities, and service providers. BIMCO will also provide periodic updates on ongoing work, including projects involving agency related contracts and port call optimisation.
he input gathered during Network meetings will feed directly into BIMCO’s wider organisational efforts, including its committee structure, contractual workstream, and advocacy initiatives.
The people behind the success
As a member of the BIMCO Agency Network, you form part of BIMCO’s volunteer community. In an industry shaped by rapid regulatory development, digitalisation, and shifting operational demands, BIMCO relies on the experience and expertise of engaged professionals working daily in ship agency and port operations.
Your insight helps ensure that BIMCO remains the practical voice of shipping. We believe strongly in the value of collaboration and shared expertise—and the Agency Network is where that value becomes tangible.
