The time charter party for accommodation support vessels currently being developed by a specialist BIMCO subcommittee is ready for wider consultation amongst stakeholders engaged in the offshore accommodation industry.
Italian energy company Eni, operating in more than 60 countries worldwide and employing more than 30,000 people, will be joining the recently launched BIMCO project to develop a standard charter party for Accommodation Support Vessels (ASVs).
Offshore installation contracts are vital for the successful execution of offshore projects, including the transportation and installation of offshore wind farms and other marine structures. These contracts often involve multiple stakeholders, such as various contractors, subcontractors, developers, suppliers, vessel providers and clients. The complexity and high-value nature of such projects mean that clear contractual arrangements must be in place to manage risk and to ensure smooth operations.
BIMCO has initiated work to develop a standard charter party for Accommodation Support Vessels (ASVs) to provide the industry with a balanced standard document that can be used in the offshore sectors.
This type of project requires several BIMCO contracts in combination. The seminar offers participants a comprehensive overview of the commercial and contractual issues involved.
