About the Shipping KPI system – Criteria filter in benchmarking
The BIMCO Shipping KPI system is flexible in filtering criteria for benchmarking functions. The flexibility allows users to add more criteria into the filter function and specify it in order to compare to a specific group of ships within defined criteria. The Shipping KPI system supports most of the ships' metadata for filter functions in benchmarking, so you can compare and retrieve information based on your own needs. At the moment, the default filter criteria are; time period, which ships, account type, trading areas, nationality of senior officers, flag and DWT range, but users can add more filter criteria by following the instructions below:
1. Go to the benchmark section:
2. Select fleet:
3. Specify Fleet Criteria selection window pop up with default criteria. The default criteria is easily changed by using the dropdown menu for each criteria:
4. Add more criteria to filter if needed, by clicking dropdown menu of “Add another filter”. For now, the additional filter has 11 criteria that are class society, P&I club, H&M, speed range, years under management range, age range, nationality junior officer, nationality ratings, country built, ship status and ship type:
5. After selecting more filter criteria, these selections will appear in specify fleet criteria and ready to be specified. To apply filter to working benchmark, click the “Update filter” button:
