The Shipping KPI User Guide version 2.0 has been updates and published on the Shipping KPI website. The guide serves as a comprehensive user manual for both new and active users. For new users, the guide is valuable because it covers all steps from registration to how to use all the basic functions in the system such as how to use the KPI book, how to import and submit ships’ data or benchmarking. For existing users, the guide can be used to look up recommended procedures or typical errors when working with the system.
The User Guide illustrates step by step how to work with a specific function of the KPI system and offers clear explanations, screenshots and notes. If you are a new user or simply wish to explore the Shipping KPI system, the User Guide is the best way to start. For existing users, the guide is a good place to check for information if users experience problems or challenges.

The KPI expresses the ratio between HR related deficiencies (raised during external inspections and audits) and the total number of recorded external inspections and audits. External audits include non-conformities but exclude observations.
PI035 | Number of HR related deficiencies | = 3 |
PI052 | Number of recorded external inspections | = 2 |
KPI Value | HR deficiencies | = 3/2=1.5 |

Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) publish regular Bunker Alerts based entirely on fuel samples and have kindly permitted BIMCO’s Members to access this information.
The Bunker Alerts are not intended to be an evaluation of overall bunker quality in the port or area concerned, but usually highlight a specific parameter within the fuel which has raised a quality issue.
All of BIMCO's most widely used contracts and clauses as well as advice on managing charters and business partners.
