About Shipping KPI system – New milestone

In the beginning of July, BIMCO Shipping KPIs reached a new milestone: more than 6,000 ships in the database. The value of the benchmarking information is in direct proportion to the number of ships registered in the system.

In order to make the Shipping KPI system more user friendly, an API (Application Programming Interface) feature has been developed to integrate Shipping KPI system with external application or software, which assists with transfer of data and information. However, the user must activate this feature and register its use for the security reasons. Information about integrating application and API documentation is available here: https://www.shipping-kpi.org/developers

VPS Bunker Alerts

Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) publish regular Bunker Alerts based entirely on fuel samples and have kindly permitted BIMCO’s Members to access this information.

The Bunker Alerts are not intended to be an evaluation of overall bunker quality in the port or area concerned, but usually highlight a specific parameter within the fuel which has raised a quality issue.
