Newbuilding report dated 9 October 2018

This has been another active week on the newbuilding front, in line with expectations for the remainder of the year which most believe to prove equally – if not more - busy in terms of new orders coming through. The lack of activity on the tanker side is definitely just a glitch, while it seems that Capesize interest is increasing steadily with the back to back weekly orders in the size since the end of September hard to go unnoticed.

The weekly newbuilding report by Intermodal Research & Valuations feature, include newbuilding prices for dry bulk-, tanker- and gas shipping segments. Additionally, recent newbuilding orders are listed by units, type, size, yard, expected delivery date and price.
