Peter Sand’s presentation titled “Crude oil tankers – the road to recovery”, will give a detailed view into the current market environment from a seaborne shipping perspective. At the summit, BIMCO is revealing the results of its latest analysis in the “Road to Recovery” series.
In 2016, BIMCO started this series on what was needed for recovery in the dry bulk sector prescribing a "zero supply side growth" scenario. This analysis and subsequent updates are available on BIMCO's website.
The presentation is scheduled for 14:50 on Thursday 11 May, in ‘Session 10: Evolving trade flows, storage and shipping markets’. It is right after the address by Johannes Benigni, Founder of JBC Energy. Other speakers include Jeff Currie, Head of Global Commodity Research at Goldman Sachs and Didier Casimiro, Vice President for Refining, Petrochemical, Commerce and Logistics at Rosneft.
The main focus of the forum is to unite senior executives from both the upstream and oil trading communities and help oil industry professionals understand trends, risks and issues within the global crude oil landscape, from those at the forefront.
Topics receiving a more detailed focus are:
- international upstream development
- oil markets, trading and risk management.
