Important changes to the BIMCO Solid Cargo Database

Overview

To inform members on coming changes to the online BIMCO Solid Cargo Database.

Members in the process of making fixtures for dry solid cargo shipments for next year are to be reminded that they should be looking at cargoes in the BIMCO Solid Cargo Database that are marked under Amendment 04-17 (Amdt 04-17) to the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code. This is the Amendment that will enter into mandatory force on 1 January 2019.

All cargoes under Amendment 03-15 (Amdt 03-15)  will be taken down from the BIMCO Solid Cargo Database effective 2 January 2019, This is  due to Amendment 03-15 being superseded by Amdt 04-17. Relevant aspects of the Cargo Database section would also be updated accordingly in order to be in line with the new amendment. However, should members have any questions relating to cargoes under Amdt 03-15 can always send an email to the BIMCO Maritime Information department at marinfo@bimco.org for assistance.
