Argentina – new resolution comes into effect

Overview

New resolution from the National Food and Grain Health Authority (SENASA) has come into effect for a testing period of one year.

The National Food and Grain Health Authority (SENASA) has previously made changes to the procedures related to hold and tank inspections (Argentina - positive news on inspection procedures) .

On 1 November a new resolution- (SENASA Resolution 693-E/2017 (in Spanish) has come into effect for a testing period of one year.

BIMCO has supported the development of the regulation along with other organisations and detailed information can be found on the website of Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN).

P&I Clubs have also been following this matter and The UK P&I Club has posted a free translation from their local correspondents.

This is very positive news and BIMCO will update further on the matter during the testing period.
