US regulations affecting your ships - get the February update!

This is the latest in a series of reports supplied by the Chamber of Shipping of America (CSA) with the intention of keeping BIMCO members appraised of legislative developments in the US affecting international shipping. Joint Canadian and United States Asian Gypsy Moth notice issued February 2016

Members with ships that have called at regulated Asian Gypsy Moth areas should take note of the following joint notice issued by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), outlining the requirements for such ships entering North American ports.

Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation oil tanker ban reported as lifted

BIMCO members are to note that the ban imposed on 113 tankers prohibited from entering Nigerian oil facilities and territorial waters in July 2015, appears to have been lifted on 10 September 2015.
