Jakob Paaske Larsen, Head of Maritime Safety & Security at BIMCO, will be speaking at a seminar at the university of Copenhagen addressing the environmental, safety, and security challenges posed by the shadow fleet.
Prof. Beckman, the main speaker, will discuss the legal framework for managing shadow tankers in straits and EEZs, with a focus on Southeast Asia. After the presentation, a panel featuring Prof. Beckman, Jan Stockbrügger (postdoctoral fellow, University of Copenhagen), and BIMCO's Jakob Paaske Larsen will discuss the legal, safety, and environmental aspects of the dark fleet issue.
