Ilmenite (Upgraded)

Description

Material derived from smelting of rock or sand ilmenite in electric arc furnaces. Is granular in form and colour varies from black (normal grade) to brown-orange in its purified grade. Bulk density:  1,860 -2,400 kg/m3. Non-IMSBC Code information: is an important 'ingredient' of the titanium feedstocks used in the titanium dioxide pigment industry as well as titanium metal and ferro-titanium alloys industries. A cohesive cargo but non-hygroscopic so will not cake when wet.
