Seafarers Deserve Fairer Seas

BIMCO supports and advocates for fair treatment of seafarers and is committed to raising awareness. This page includes resources to help the industry achieve this goal.

Unseen at Sea

The latest film in our campaign aimed at raising awareness of fair treatment and safety of the seafarers, who are responsible for the transport of nearly 12.5 billion tonnes of goods and essential commodities a year.

Our film focuses on the risks faced by seafarers, from unjust imprisonment to attacks due to global conflict.

Fair Seas

Our film aims to raise awareness of the thousands of seafarers that keep the world supplied.

Despite their crucial job, their rights are too often overlooked.

The film focuses on the life at sea, the dangers they face but also on the adventure the job has to offer and the camaraderie among the crew on board the ships that keep world trade moving.
